lindsey baines.

Lindsey Baines serves as the Director for Gifted and Talented Development, working as the AP, MAP, and PSAT testing coordinator, writing student accommodations, and providing college counseling to the high school population. She also teaches Algebra II as well as a senior Pursuit course. She began teaching three years ago at EA Young Academy as the Health Promotion educator and fell in love with the school and community. Previously, she has taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. Lindsey is a self-described philomath, a lover of learning and studying, and truly enjoys enriching the lives of students through project-based learning. She is a huge advocate of teaching to the whole student, including social and emotional growth. Her goal is for all students to become responsible and compassionate contributors to our global community.

Although completely convinced at the age of 8 that she could fly and would one day go to space, Lindsey found her calling in teaching others. Lindsey graduated first in her class from Texas Tech University with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, researching nutrition, and organizing. She is the proud mother of two boys, two cats, and two dogs.

Lindsey currently dreams of being an astronaut and FINALLY going to space.
